When teeth have been missing for a long time, the jawbone shrinks and melts away (resorption). If a patient wants dental implants but lacks sufficient bone thickness to hold the titanium screws, Bone Grafting or a Sinus Lift is required. A Sinus Lift specifically targets the upper back jaw; the sinus membrane is gently pushed up, and bone graft material is packed underneath it to create a deep, sturdy bone bed. Indian clinics utilize premium bio-materials, including synthetic bone matrix, bovine bone, or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from the patient’s own blood to dramatically accelerate bone regeneration and healing.
Detalles del Procedimiento
A minor surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia or IV sedation. For a Sinus Lift, the surgeon makes an incision in the upper gum to expose the bone. A small window is cut into the bone to access the sinus cavity. The delicate sinus membrane is gently lifted upward, and the empty space below it is firmly packed with bone graft granules. The gum is stitched closed. The graft is left to heal and solidify into natural bone for 4 to 6 months before dental implants can be safely placed (though sometimes implants can be placed simultaneously if enough native bone remains).
