A brain aneurysm is a balloon-like bulge in a weakened cerebral artery. If it ruptures, it causes a catastrophic subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding in the brain), which is frequently fatal or causes severe stroke. India offers highly specialized neurovascular centers equipped to neutralize these threats using two distinct methods. Microvascular Surgical Clipping is an open brain surgery where a tiny titanium clip is clamped across the neck of the aneurysm to cut off its blood supply. Endovascular Coiling is a minimally invasive alternative performed from the inside of the artery without opening the skull, highly preferred by medical tourists for elective unruptured aneurysms.
Detalles del Procedimiento
Endovascular Coiling: The neuro-interventionalist punctures the femoral artery in the groin and navigates a micro-catheter all the way up into the brain’s aneurysm under live X-ray. Soft platinum wire coils are pushed into the aneurysm, causing the blood inside to clot and permanently seal the bubble off from the main artery.

Surgical Clipping: A craniotomy is performed to open the skull. The neurosurgeon uses a microscope to carefully dissect the brain tissue, locate the aneurysm on the artery, and place a tiny, spring-loaded titanium clip across its base, instantly neutralizing the risk of rupture.
